From the New Jersey Hospital Asssociation

  • Eight N.J. hospitals have closed in the last 18 months.
  • Just 15 years ago, New Jersey had 112 acute care hospitals. Only 74 are left today.
  • Of those 74, half lost money last year.
  • And five N.J. hospitals filed for bankruptcy in the last 18 months.
